Fulfill Your Training Requirements to Sell 2020 Livestock
With the new Reinsurance Year beginning July 1st, it's time for Annual Livestock Update Training in order to meet the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement's (LPRA) required three hours of annual livestock update training for experienced agents. The LPRA defines "experienced agent" as one that has been previously trained on the Livestock Risk Protection (LRP), Livestock Gross Margin (LGM) and/or Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) insurance programs.
Hudson provides a 4.5 hour (4 continuing education hours) update training on the FCIC Livestock Plans of Insurance for the 2020 Crop Year – LRP, LGM and DRP. The course provides detailed instructions on how the three livestock plans are to be administered, how each program works as well as Hudson's livestock processing system and quoter. You must attend the entire presentation, as well as answer all polling questions, in order to receive the 4 hours of continuing education credit.

What if I wish to sell only one Livestock Program, such as LRP, LGM or DRP, and I have never been trained before?
Answer: If you have never sold/been trained on any Livestock product before, you must take the corresponding product-specific training(s) listed below to become licensed to sell. Then, next year, you may take either that same product-specific course or Livestock Update course to remain/fulfill your licensing requirements to sell.
